Urgent appointments

Please telephone the surgery and make it clear to the Receptionist that you consider your case to be urgent and request a same-day appointment.

When you call, a receptionist will ask you for details of your problem and will pass all of this information to the duty GP to assess. The duty GP, having clinically assessed your request, will arrange a face-to-face or telephone appointment with you if this is required.

One doctor is on call each day for assessments in addition to their normal work, so please only call if you really believe your problem cannot wait. All children under 16 years with acute presentations are offered a same-day appointments.

Dental Access Portal

If you are already registered with an NHS dentist and need to make an appointment for routine treatment, please contact your dental practice directly.

If you are not currently registered with an NHS dentist, you can apply for a place online if:

  • You are aged 16 or over
  • You have not had routine NHS dental treatment in Wales in the past four years
  • You live at an address in North Wales, for more than six months of the year or are registered with a GP in the area.

You can use the Dental Access Portal to apply for a place with an NHS dentist as an individual and you can add someone else, such as a child under 16.

You can also apply on behalf of others, such a family member, friend or someone you care for or have a trusted relationship with.

Your previous dental practice should be able to offer you an appointment if you have had treatment with them in the last four years.
