Clinics and Services

Counselling Service

We have two trainee counsellors who are BACP registered and studying for a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, using Person-Centred techniques.

Counselling can help you:

  • Cope with depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, and relationship issues
  • Explore personal identity and ambitions
  • Understand yourself and others better

Counselling is a confidential talking therapy where a trained counsellor listens empathetically to your concerns.

Sessions are free, conducted via telephone or video link, lasting 50 minutes each week. For more information, please ask your GP to get a referral.

Minor surgery

Doctors perform minor surgery at Chirk Hospital. When you see your doctor, they will ask you to contact the hospital in order to make an appointment.

Nurse minor illness clinic

The nursing team provide a minor illness clinic each afternoon for urgent appointments that can be booked on the day.

Screenings

Screening is a process of identifying apparently healthy people who may be at increased risk of a disease or condition. They can then be offered information, further tests and appropriate treatment to reduce their risk and/or any complications arising from the disease or condition.
